Thank you for your interest in LinkEX.

Before getting started with LinkEX, you should be familiar with the way LinkEX works.

The LinkEX core

LinkEX basically consists of a database of links and categories. Each link can belong to any number of categories. Combining a category with the links belonging to this category produces an output file.
Whenever a change is made to either a link or a category, all outputs based on the affected link and/or category is updated. This means that at any time the output file for a category is up to date.

The philosophy behind LinkEX

LinkEX is created with focus on simplicity and scalability. You should be the one in control of your link exchanges, while LinkEX is the tool helping you.

When I first started doing some serious hardlink exchange, I got tired if having to log on to my FTP, download the file, edit it to add the link, upload it and make sure it's ok. This is a hideous task, boring and time consuming. So being a programmer I decided to write a little script for it.

People started noticing my script when adding links to my sites, and started asking where I got it from, and if they could have a copy. I thought about it, and decided to set it free. I rewrote the script to make it more user friendly and released it into the public. Ever since it has grown, and much more features has been added.
