Announcements » New release

added on Jun 1, 2006 by v0id
Just released a new version, it has a few new features and a few small changes:

Due to some confusion "output" has been renamed to "category". I hope this makes more sense.

Blacklist, I have added a blacklist. Most importent is that the IPs can be the full IP, or the C-class.

Email. I have started to work on the email sender. Find it under the "Tools", or just click the link in the
overview or in the link details.

Also a few more translation strings has been added:
url_exists
please_fill_email
please_fill_lurl
lurl_error
please_fill_rurl
rurl_error
webmaster_ip_blacklisted
server_ip_blacklisted
domain_blacklisted
email_blacklisted
email_domain_blacklisted
no_backlink
disabledtitle
disabledtext

Check out the downloads section for the original language file, there you can see the text compiled into the script.

I'd love to hear any thoughts and/or comments

How do I format the...

Alternative backlinks

Where is the documentation on this? I have tried to read everywhere without success.

How do I allow someone to chose the catagory their link should be in?

Also, can I put the form for the link exchange on another page? Just the form so I could have people do link exchanges
from a lot of different places and control the catagory from inside the form? A list of form variables would be helpful
for this.

There needs to be some way to make the script fit into my website a lot better. Anyway to control the colors of the
page, CSS, header, footer? I don't mind the copyright and all that... just the colors don't fit and it's hard to get it
to work with my sites... I am looking for more effective ways of integrating the script into my site so it looks
cohesive and professional.

Hi.

Well I haven't really finished the documentation yet, has been a bit lazy on the part.
You just add one URL pr. line for the alt. backlinks.
Once I find some time, I'll write the documentation on the whole script, it's really not that good ATM.

Currently, links being added is put into the categories set as default in the settings. Only the "admin" can
set the category for a link.

You could add a form where you like, just make sure it has the following fields:

email, lurl, rurl, anchor and description

I haven't tested it, but I don't see why it shoulden't work.

As for the design, it's pretty thightly with the script for now. If it's a really big issue, I can look into better
integration.

Thanks for your feedback. Allways appreciated!
