when i first attempted to work with linkex, i was quite
frustrated, as, among other things, i don't know PHP,
or at the moment, have any time or desire to learn it.
however, after wasting tons of time trying to get other
brands of link exchange programs to work correctly -
and the way i wanted them to, i came back,
determined to figure it out.
after a couple of days of messing around with it &
reading some forum posts, it suddenly all clicked.
it's a LOT more customizable than i thought, and tho
there's features i'd like to see - what software, free or
paid doesn't have SOMETHING that you'd like to see
improved or added......
here's what i found:
when you create a category, there's a default template
in there (you'll see when you go to 'edit' the category.
that category is mega customizable, down to columns,
fonts, font sizes, bold, underline, target="_blank", etc...
so much so, that all i have to use for my actual web
page is the default sample from the linkex demo page,
with my path in there (instead of vOid's) MINUS the
leading '/'.
here's a copy of my customization of the default
category template, for those that are unfamiliar with how
you might do it.
