Hello,
Let's say that I have linkex set up on..
www.gggg.com
and I placed the linkex code on www.gggg.com , yet inside my admin, I placed a different url. www.oooo.com
so I place your link on www.gggg.com and a link to www.oooo.com is placed on your page.
Now, when you run your auto check for the linkback script, it says no link is appearing on www.oooo.com even though
your link is still on www.gggg.com
Is there something I am doing wrong? Their script is checking www.oooo.com for their link when it is actually on
www.gggg.com where the script resides.
3 way linking.
Thanks,
~Ray

hey,
just need to get things clear,
you own www.gggg.com and have installed LinkEX on this site.
In your Linking Settings you have set the website URL to www.oooo.com, so when people see the form on
www.gggg.com/linkex it says www.oooo.com in the Linking details?
When someone adds their link on www.gggg.com they place a link on their site www.aaaa.com to www.oooo.com and enters the
following details into the form on www.gggg.com:
Your URL: www.aaaa.com
Reciprocal link URL: www.aaaa.com
so far so good, right?
When LinkEX checks to see if there is a backlink, it'll fetch the Reciprocal link URL and compare the links on this page
to the URLs listed in the admin settings in your LinkEX (Website URL+Alternative backlinks)
Is it your LinkEX or their LinkEX that reports the link as missing?
I think you might have the "Your URL" and "Reciprocal link URL" fields mixed up a bit.
The owner of www.aaaa.com should enter www.gggg.com in the "Your URL" field, and www.oooo.com in the
"Reciprocal link URL" field to make it work.

Here is what I meant.
I have linkex on kreampie.com
inside my admin, I use squirtem.com for the recip link. so, you link to kreampie.com and I link to your site from
squirtem.com
the problem is that your linkex bot checks for your recip on kreampie.com (which doesn't have your recip), because your
recip is on squirtem.com
so their linkex bot suspends all of my links after someone autoadds them, because their bot said the recips were
missing.
do I enter kreampie.com in the alt backlinks box?

I got that wrong above
I have linkex on kreampie , inside kreampie linkex admin, I have the recip set to squirtem .. so
if you trade links with me, your link goes on kreampie and your site links to squirtem. so one way lining. yet, it
doesn't seem to recognize that your link is on kreampie, it is checking for your link on squirtem.
do I just add kreampie to the alt backlinks box and it will look for your link on squirtem and then kreampie?

When I log in, Settings, and click on "Link Settings" , it does not give me a place to enter a different recip
url..
I have..
Website URL:
Website title:
Description:
Alternative backlinks:
Rules:
so when someone adds me and they click "edit" they see the Link URL: and Reciprocal link URL: as being the
same when they look at my site from their admin.
how can I add a different recip url? so they see that they linked to my site ONE and I linked to them from my site
TWO?
Thanks,

hey,
I talked to Ray, and I have something planned to the autoadd feature recognize an ABC or ABCD link exchange, but it
requires a little work on my end and a new release.
I'll keep you posted
