Bugs » Session side-effect?

added on Aug 9, 2006 by
Hello,
After installing LinkEx I get this warning on my site. What can I do about it?

Warning: Unknown: Your script possibly relies on a session side-effect which existed until PHP 4.2.3. Please be advised
that the session extension does not consider global variables as a source of data, unless register_globals is enabled.
You can disable this functionality and this warning by setting session.bug_compat_42 or session.bug_compat_warn to off,
respectively. in Unknown on line 0

Thanks alot for the heads up. Never seen this error before!

I'll get a release ready for you in the morning. It's kind of late here :)

I'll let you know when it's ready.

Again thanks for the heads up

Goodmorning.

I have released a new version where you should not see this error. This release is only a temporary solution, I'll get a
real fix done shortly, once I go through the code.

Let me know how this release works out
