Bugs » error while upgrading (403 on the checksum)

I have just changed my hosting so it be a problem on my end? I chmod'd my linkex dir and files to 777 and I still get
the error.
I am currently using linkex version 20071229 trying to update to the latest (20080613)
I even tried to force upgrade, same error.
Error while fetching version checkum (403 Forbidden)

Any suggestions?

I d/l'd the new version and overwrote the old index.php with the new one. The upgrade works.
