A cronjob to automatically check the links and remove those without the link back is required. I surely could use it.

My apologies... after I've posted this it crossed my mind to use the search function :)

Remember that for 3 way links linkex checks the "reciprocal" link that people enter.
Sometimes people screw that up and when it goes to check, it fails even though the
site has your link up (at another site). Check all the sites manually at least
once before you let the automated thing work. Also it's a good idea to not be too
strict on the check, a lot of sites show your link different than what you
want, like a shorter description or things like that.
