wich permission should i use?
I use 777 but i dont think its the best for security.

No 777 is not the safest solution, but it's hard for me to tell what permissions you should set it to. It depends on the
user/groups on you server.

But one thing to remember is that LinkEX, being runned by the web server, with the web server privileges, needs to have
write access to the files in the LinkEX folder.

Can you give some examples of what other permission could be set to? Such as 644, 666, 764 ect?

try to set it to 677 thats what I set mine to and it seems to be working fine.
