So, what are your thought on the new version? Mostly it's a little different UI, but there are some changes to the way
the script works.
Whats your thought? Any good/bad things?

v0id, I want to thank you for your great script. I had downloaded a previous version and I never finished the sites I
had it installed. I am going to finish the network and was wondering if there was a way use a central installation of
linkex, or do I need to run the script on each domain?
Again, thanks for an amazing script!!!!
added on Dec 21, 2006 by
Currently you need to run it from each domain. My plans are to make a central control panel, and just use each
installation as "satellites", but unfortunately it's still on the todo list.
Thanks for the kind words! :) Always makes my day!

I will look forward to that feature when it comes out.
I also enjoy your fine ads up top and I always click to view the great products for sale. I figure it is the very least
I can do to thank you for your free product, and I hope I am not the only one!

Hi!
Maybe a stupid question but whats the "Command line settings" option?
Jamo
added on Dec 25, 2006 by
and ehm i also miss the option that i can see with links are set as "skipped". Now i have to press each link
to see if it's going to be skipped.

Hi I love your script too......I've been searching for a simple link exchange script like this for ever......My only
concern is with the linkex folder permissions. With it always having to be set to 777 doesn’t this raise a security
issue? Because I used to have another site that had some of the folders set to a high permission and it was hacked into.
Well please let me know if the settings can be set to a lower permission......
Thanks
Bob

Ok well after experimenting on the permissions settings I was fially able to get it to work on a chomd setting of 677
Is this a safe setting where its not going be a security issue becuase I see that other people have been asking the same
question?
added on Dec 27, 2006 by
@Bob Yeah I look forward to this feature also :) I'm not sure when I'll get it done, since it's a bit more complex.
@Jamo The rules is a big mistake/bug. Thanks for letting me know! When I get home from my vacations I'll have it fixed
ASAP.
Commandline settings is currently just to turn on/off commandline access. As in
> /usr/local/bin/php /my/path/to/linkex/index.php
When it's on, the command above will verify all the links, when off you'll get a forbidden.
Sure, I'll find someway to show the skipped status, I've noticed this also, but kind of forgot about it. I'll have it
ready with the next release.
@Bob regarding the permissions, I'll look into it, and get back to you. Have seen other people discuss the permissions
with concern.
Hope this helped a few of you, otherwise just let me know

Thanks for your answers.
Just one thing though:
When adding a link through the "add link" page as an admin i get:
"Please fill out the reprocial URL"
But i have the option "Disable recip. field:" checked. So there aren't any field to fill in anymore.
Jami

To Jamo:
I paste the same URL in the "Reciprocal link URL:" field and "Your URL:" field. That solves the
problem.
added on Dec 29, 2006 by
@Magnus
That's a bit difficult if you only have (i disabled the recip.field):
Site title:
Your URL:
Your email:

Hey V0id, I am getting this error message on one of my sites:
Warning: Call-time pass-by-reference has been deprecated - argument passed by value; If you would like to pass it by
reference, modify the declaration of [runtime function name](). If you would like to enable call-time pass-by-reference,
you can set allow_call_time_pass_reference to true in your INI file. However, future versions may not support this any
longer. in /var/www/vhosts/gratispornosite.be/httpdocs/linkex/index.php on line 1
hope it is of use to you, I think it has to do with my host and not with the script, but I thought I post it anyway.

Got a reply from my host, the error is fixed althou they state it is not wise to use that kind of code since it is no
longer supported in later php versions.
Now the next problem, I do not see the links on my site. When I check the source there is a '<!-- Output generated by
LinkEX (+http://linkex.dk/) -->' line, but there are no links...
Thanks for thinking about the backup dir.
added on Jan 5, 2007 by
Oke, it's fixed now, the OK links from the link filter in the cat section was not checked.......

> Xeandrac Thanks alot!
I have now fixed the the code which gave you the error. It was just an old habit of coding style :)

Hi!
I saw you put an option back to see witch sites are being skipped, is it also possible for you to make it so that it can
also sort on teh skipped sites?
So 1 click on status sorts the OK links on top
second click sorts the Suspended links
and then the third sorts the skipped ones?
If you understand? hihi
Thanks!

Hi,Probably that's stupid question but can anybody help me where I can find the links i have added to the script?I can
find where is that directory.I created a categories but a can not explorer them? How can I do this?
added on Feb 13, 2007 by
What do you mean?
When you are logged in you just press "Home" at the top and all you links are there.
On your server they are in the directory data->links
Jamo
added on Feb 14, 2007 by
Yes,I can see them at home directory but I am exchanging links with linkmarket and when I am supposed to type the
directory where the reciprocal link is ,Linkmarket doesn't find it anywhere on my site. How I should set the script to
set my categories visible for the customers and linkmarket?
added on Feb 14, 2007 by
Where did you include the links then on your website? (See: http://linkex.dk/doc/including-links-on-your-site.html)
Just point linkmarket to that location and it will find the link(s).

Hi
I don't have this forum available, I sort of built it on the fly when I made this site. There are lots of good forums
out there, aren't there any that will suit your needs?
I wouldnt mind give you a copy, but there are no admin for it :)
v0id
added on Feb 16, 2007 by
Hi!
Well i think there will be more forums available but i like your style and the simplicity of this forum.
So if you happen to have a copy for me?
No admin is fine, i'll just play around with it first.
(plan to use it on non-adult site)
