Suddenly I have no links at all. I noticed after having verified the links, but I didn´t check before, so I
don´t know if this has made any difference. The links are now all red in the "control panel" - whatever
that means. I have link verification turned off.
All my link pages are blank. There seems to be a lot of data when I look in the folders. The config file contains
information and has 2nd january as file date. I uploaded the most recent index.php without any result. I can´t
think of anything that I might have done that could have changed anything, everthing else works normally. I can use the
script to edit links and categorys as before.

I really hope there is an easy answer to this!

By the way, I tried to use ssi instead of php and got the message [an error occurred while processing this directive]

That sounds like a permission issue.
Can you verify that the data/output/nnnn files are empty?
How about the data/links/nnn files? Do they have any data?

Hm also make sure the links are assigned to a category.. Just to be sure :)

Let´s see. The linkex folder is 755
All output files are 57 bytes. Looked in one of them which contained
<!-- Output generated by LinkEX (+http://linkex.dk/) -->
The files under /links have various size, around 1 kB. Checked one, which seems to contain meaningful information (I
recognize titles of sites that should be in the collection).
I use php include for other purposes on the pages where the links should be and it works.
I am pretty sure that I have not made any modifications since everything worked a month ago

Sounds right.
my guess is still on the permissions.
Try delete the files in the data/output folder - they will be generated again when you check the links.
check the links, and see if the output files are back.
If not, LinkEX can properly not write files in the output folder. If there are files, but the still only contain the
html comment, I would suspect that either the links are not assigned to a category and/or the settings in the category
has not been set to include "OK" links

OK, back after birthday cake (not my own), I edited a few links and found out that they were all suspended. When I check
OK, they show up. I guess I could manually edit around 100 links, but how come they were suspended? Is it a mistake to
verify links? What am I doing when I verify? Do I just check that the links are alive, but does the non linked back
links get suspended, overriding my choice not to require linkback? How can I avoid getting this error again?
Questions, questions...

Hey Magnus, you still around?
Do you still have problems with LinkEX?

Sure, I am still alive and well. The problem above was solved, I can´t remember how (maybe I did it manually).
Since then, Linkex has worked as it should. The last three months I have only added a few new links, so I have not had
any chance to mess things up.

Awesome. Glad to hear.. But I guess you haven't updated the script along with the new releases?
added on May 7, 2007 by
No, I haven´t touched it. "Why fix it if it isn´t boken?"

LOL yes you are right :)
But there are new features added all the time, and possible security fixes.
